SalonOS

Terms and conditions

In effect from 11 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between Sensussoft Software Pvt. Ltd., Surat, Gujarat, India ("we"), and the salon or person using SalonOS ("you"). Using the software means accepting them.

Two things are worth knowing before the detail: your salon's data belongs to you, and we are not part of the arrangement between a salon and its customer. Everything below follows from those.

1. What the service is

SalonOS is software for running a salon: appointments, customers, billing, staff, stock and reports. It is provided over the internet. We do not provide salon services ourselves, employ salon staff, or take part in the work a salon does for its customers.

2. Your account

  • You must give accurate details when you register, and keep them up to date.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account and under the accounts you create for your staff.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Tell us at once if you think somebody else has got in.
  • One account is for one salon business. Do not share it with another business.
  • You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract.

3. The free trial

New salons get a free trial for the period shown when they register. Everything works during the trial. Nothing is charged and no card is needed.

When the trial ends without a plan, the salon becomes read-only: you can still sign in and see everything you entered, but no new bookings or bills can be made until a plan is chosen. Your data is not deleted when a trial ends.

4. Subscriptions and payment

  • Plans and prices are agreed with us directly. The price you were quoted is the price for the period you bought.
  • A subscription runs for the period paid for and does not renew automatically. We tell you before it ends.
  • Payment is made offline - bank transfer, UPI or cheque - and we record it against your salon. Access continues once it is recorded.
  • Fees are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. GST is charged as the law requires.
  • If a payment is missed, there are three days grace. After that the salon is suspended.

Refunds

Subscription fees already paid are not refunded for a period that has begun, except where the law requires it or where we have failed to provide the service for a prolonged period. If you believe you have been charged wrongly, write to us and we will look at it properly.

5. Suspension and ending the service

What happensWhat it means
Trial ends with no planRead-only. Sign in and see everything; nothing new can be booked or billed.
Payment missedThree days grace, then suspended. A suspended salon cannot sign in.
You choose to leaveTell us. You can ask for an export of your data before the account is closed.
We end itFor serious or repeated breach of these terms, or unlawful use. We give notice and a chance to put it right, unless the law or safety prevents that.

Suspension is not deletion. Your data is kept, and access is restored when the reason for suspension is dealt with.

6. Who owns the data

You own your salon's data - your customers, bookings, invoices and everything else you put in. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to build a product for anyone else.

We hold it on your behalf so the software can work, and process it on your instructions. What we do with it is set out in our privacy policy.

You may ask for a copy of your data at any time, in a common format, and we will provide it within a reasonable period.

7. Your responsibilities to your own customers

You decide what customer information to record. You are responsible for having the right to record it, for telling your customers how it is used, and for answering them when they ask about it.

If you send offers to your customers through the software, you are responsible for following the rules on marketing messages, including consent and an easy way to opt out.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use the service for anything unlawful, or to store unlawful content.
  • Try to break into it, test its security without permission, or get at another salon’s data.
  • Copy, resell or rent the software, or offer it to others as your own service.
  • Take it apart to work out how it is built, except where the law says you may.
  • Overload it deliberately, or use it in a way that degrades it for other salons.
  • Upload anything containing a virus or similar.

9. Payments between a salon and its customer

Money taken from a salon's customer - cash, UPI, card or bank transfer - is between the salon and that customer. The software records what the salon says was taken and produces the invoice. We do not hold that money at any point, and we are not responsible for it.

Cancellation charges, refunds to customers, deposits and prices are the salon's own rules, set by the salon in the software.

10. Availability

We work to keep the service running and available. We do not promise it will never be interrupted. Maintenance is carried out at quiet hours where possible, and we tell salon owners in advance where a change matters.

Some parts depend on other companies - email and hosting. If one of those is down, that part may be delayed or unavailable.

11. What we are not liable for

The software is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for:

  • Lost profits, lost bookings or lost business.
  • Anything arising from your own use of the service, or from information you entered wrongly.
  • Anything that happens between you and your customers or your staff.
  • Failures caused by another company we depend on, or by something outside our reasonable control.

Where we are found liable despite the above, our total liability is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Keeping your own copy

We take regular backups. Even so, keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The software lets you export your reports and records at any time.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date. Where a change is significant we will tell salon owners inside the software before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting the new terms.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the courts at the place of our registered office.

Before going to court, please write to us. Most problems are quicker to solve that way, and we would rather fix something than argue about it.
